Amour was a mysterious figure that lived long ago. It is though him that the holiday of love or Amour Day came to pass. Amour was said to be rather the dashing mysterious figure, swooping around the world "stealing" the hearts of women and simply vanishing without a trace.
It is tradition to leave flowers on Amour Day on your beloved's window, the taller the window the stronger the dedication of love or affection becomes. Common sayings pertaining to the holiday are;
"Will you be my thief?"
"May I steal you away today?"
And most commonly used today when courting another on Amour Day;
"Run with me."
